This image depicts a doctor up in his Ivory Tower, chucking out prescriptions to patients below. I produced this image for European Parkinson's Disease Association. It highlights the importance of a holistic, person centred approach in helping people with parkinson's disease. The article said that many patients fail to get all the support they need and are just palmed off with drugs.
Based on a heart warming story by a friend of mine, who came home from a party when she was little with a goody bag containing some balloons. Her parent's told her that if she planted the balloon outside and made sure she watered it, eventually one day it would sprout into a balloon tree. A few years later the tree had started to grow and one morning her parent's came into her room to wake her. They said 'Look, look outside at the tree!' It had finally sprouted balloons. Now this little girl is 28 and the tree had become poorly and had to be cut down. So as a final memorial she covered the tree with balloons whilst her parents were on holiday. I made this print as a present to her.
